Handcrafted in India
Ajrakh comes from “aaj rakh” or keep it today. Traditionally the motifs are inspired by the Islamic architectural geometry and trefoil motifs. Ajrakh, uses natural dyes such as indigo, madder, turmeric and black from iron fillings. Indigene interprets the motifs differently, and finds inspiration from the geometry of the gurunsi huts of Burkina Faso, Africa.
